FUSSY BABY PROGRAM OVERVIEW & PHILOSOPHY
|
|
The Fussy Baby Program is a home-based service that
provides support and education to parents with an infant or toddler exhibiting difficulties with self-regulation,
such as an inability to calm, and sleeping, eating and other behavior difficulties. The Infant Specialist comes to your
home so that they can fully understand the difficulties and develop strategies that will be successful in the family's own
environment.

FUSSY BABY PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE:
|
Multidisciplinary Assessment
Developmental education and guidance
Early On enrollment
Service referrals and coordination
Video-based interactive coaching
In-home services to families in Oakland County
A reasonable, sliding scale fee will be determined at intake and every six months thereafter.
No family will be denied services for financial reasons.

IF YOUR BABY OR TODDLER: (BIRTH - 3 YEARS
OLD)
|
Cries a lot
Is often fussy or irritable
Is easily over stimulated or distressed by sounds, sights, and activity
Does not like to be held, bathed, dressed or cuddled
Is hard to satisfy
Has trouble falling and staying asleep
Does not want to play the usual baby games with you
Has difficulty with feedings
Has very intense reactions and/or temper tantrums
Is a lot more negative or uncooperative than most other children his/her age

FUSSY BABY PROGRAM WORKS WITH PARENTS AND THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN:

so that parents have more ways to comfort and work with their sensitive,
challenging youngster
so that stress for both babies and parents is reduced
so that parents receive support and help with the important job of being a
parent
